587 SATIN
METAL PAINT
A superb quality satin acrylic enamel with excellent color retention and weather resistance. Extended open time, gives excellent flow and leveling properties. It dries quickly to a hard, non-yellowing washable surface with no odour during application. Breathable. Use on primed or previously coated surfaces, such as woodwork, metal and walls. Formulated without lead.

Performance Features

- Environmental Restistance:. Provides good resistance to concrete carbonation. 587 MOORESTYLE Satin has R(CO2) >50m when a primed surface receives 2 coats properly applied.
- Heat Resistance: Softens above 65 °C
- Abrasion Resistance : Good resistance to abrasion. Good stain removal.
- Solvent Resistance: Good resistance to white spirits. Sensitive to aromatic hydro carbons and alcohols.
VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds): EU Limit value for this product category A/d type WB: Interior/Exterior trim and cladding paints for wood and metal, 130g/l (2010). This product contains max 75g/l VOC
Surface Preparation
- Surface to be painted must be clean and free of dirt, dust, grease, and flaking paint.
- Remove loose material by scraping and sanding.
- Dull glossy areas by sanding.
- Apply two coats of 587 MOORESTYLE Satin Wood & Metal Acrylic Enamel after priming as outlined below.
- New Wood: Spot prime all caulked nailholes and patches with 572 MOORESTYLE Alkyd Undercoat. Allow to dry, then apply a full coat of Alkyd Undercoat. Sand to a smooth surface.
- New Plaster, Gypsum Board: Prime with 192 AQUAGRIP Acrylic Micronized Eco Primer or 570 MOORESTYLE Alkyd Multi-primer.
- Ferrous Metal: Remove rust and loose material before priming exposed metal with 568 MOORESTYLE Rust Primer.
Previously Painted Surfaces: Prime with 023 FRESH START Acrylic Eco Primer or 570 MOORESTYLE Alkyd Multi-primer.
Application
- Stir thoroughly before use.
- Apply by brush, roller or spray.
- Use short nap roller on smooth surfaces.
- Thin 5% with clean water.
- Do not apply at temperatures below 10OC.
- Drying times are longer under cool/moist conditions.
- Equipment Cleaning: Clean equipment in warm, soapy water after painting.
