MOORE’S®K & B™ Kitchens and Baths Mildewcide Primer For interior Use

A high quality, 100% acrylic primer formulated to be used where mould and mildew growth is likely. It provides outstanding adhesion and sealing, and can be applied under acrylic or enamel paints as well as over new and previously painted surfaces. Recommended for use in bathrooms, kitchens and other areas that may be subject to high humidity. 323 MOORE’S K&B Mildewcide Primer spatter-resistant formula is odorless and easy to apply.

Thinning : Up to 5% with water

Performance Features

For kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and inside areas subject to humidity, water splash and frequent cleaning.
Contains a mildewcide to control fungal growth.
Quick dry allows recoat same day.
Spatter resistant application.
Good adhesive to new and previously painted surfaces.
Gives a smooth surface for high quality finish.

Colors: White. May be tinted with Moor-O-Matic colorants to light colors for additional hiding.
Toxicity: Formulated without lead or mercury
Gloss Level: Flat.

Performance Guide

Weather Resistance: Not recommended for exterior use.
Heat Resistance: up to 60 °C.
Water Resistance: Excellent Water Resistance.
Abrasion Resistance: Good Abrasion Resistance.
Solvent Resistance: Good resistance to white spirits. Sensitive to aromatic hydrocarbons and alcohols.

VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds): 322 MOORE’S K&B Kitchens and Baths Mildewcide Primer: belongs to the category A/g WB (Primers). EU Limit: 30g/l (2010).

Surface Preparation

Surface to be painted must be thoroughly clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, grease, loose material, flaking paint and mildew.
Clean hard or previously painted surfaces thoroughly with detergent and water.
Rinse well.
Remove loose material by scraping and sanding.
NOTE: If mildew is present, remove with a commercial mildew wash, following manufacturer’s directions and cautions. Apply one coat of 323 MOORE’S K&B Mildewcide Primer. Fill nail holes, cracks and areas needing repair, then spot prime these areas.

Application

Stir thoroughly before and during use.
Apply by brush, roller or spray.
Thin as 5% with clean water.
Do not apply at temperatures below 10OC.
Drying times are longer in cool/moist conditions.
Equipment Cleaning: Clean equipment in warm, soapy water promptly after painting.
